No, no the one from the 1930’s, but the one experienced in Texas in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I lived through that depression, working in construction. I packed my bags and went to Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia following a stucco crew working on apartment complexes. It was the only way to survive.
Doing a search for Danny Faulkner, I came across this old Dallas Observer article that retells the tale. Take the time to read it and you will find a lot of similarities to today’s problems.
