With the Cowboys done for the year (choke, choke), my full sports attention is on High School Baseball. The Indians begin their season as per tradiation with a scrimmage at Arlington Martin on February 9th at 4:00pm. From history, it is usually the coldest day of the year, but I will be there to see what the Indians are bringing to the table this year. They will be lead this year by Baylor signee Max Muncy, but they have far fewer returning players this year than in years past. They also lost JV Coach/Bench Coach Jason Vines to Mineral Wells. While I’m glad Jason finally got his degree and moved on, it will be tough to replace him in the program.
For more information about the Indians, you can visit their website at www.kellerbaseball.com. I am going to try to sit down with Head Coach Rob Stramp for an interview before the season begins, but Coach Stramp always keeps things close to the vest, so we will see.
