I am very opinionated on everything from politics to sports and will express my opinions on this site. My wife is not responsible for anything that is posted.
I have been a resident of Keller since 1999 and my wife and I have been involved in the community as best as our schedule allows. Shannon served on Keller’s Parks and Rec board for three years and I have served on Keller’s Planning and Zoning for the last year. I ran for City Council unsuccessfully twice (2003/4), losing by only 50 votes the last time. I don’t plan to run for office anytime in the near future but do support local canidates with both time and money when I feel strongly about the person running.
I’m a libertarian (with a small “l”) more than a Republican (with a big “R”). I detest elected representatives and bureaucrats that try to hide things from the people and I am not a big fan of the current administration at KISD for those reasons.
Why the name Beyond Right Field?
At Wrigley Field in Chicago, there is a tradition where the fans in left field yell out “Right Field Sucks” and then the fans in right field return the favor by chanting “Left Field Sucks”.
Years ago, there was a Cub’s fansite that was named rightfieldsucks.com and I read it often. They sold T-Shirts and I bought one for my son to wear. You see, he was a center fielder and had a disdain for playing right field. Ahhh, but karma got him when he was moved to right field in high school and then college.
Beyond Right Field I think sums up a lot of my thoughts. I live and breath baseball, everything from summer select and High School to Minor and Major League. My wife wished I’d move beyond right field and have other hobbies.
My son has since quit playing baseball, putting a huge crimp in my lifestyle. This blog is an attempt to find another life.

I like your new venue and you did a great job setting it up. Wishing you many posts and debates.
Love,
ME
